We’re on a mission to spotlight the cuts, colors, styles, and stories that shape hair culture today. From modern mullets to layered shags, clean fades to bold curls, we’re building a platform that celebrates creativity, individuality, and unapologetic self-expression — strand by strand.
Whether you’re a licensed stylist, a seasoned barber, a beauty blogger, or just wildly passionate about hair fashion and salon life, this is your chance to contribute. If you’ve got something original to say about hair trends, haircare, salon tips, or anything in between we want to hear from you.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re not looking for robots. We’re looking for real people with real voices and something to say. If you check any of these boxes, we’re listening:
- You’re a licensed stylist, barber, or haircare pro with tips to share
- You run a hair blog or salon Instagram full of transformations
- You’ve tried every hot tool known to mankind (and have thoughts!)
- You geek out over product ingredients, scalp care, or protective styles
- You’re deeply into hair trends — especially the bold, nostalgic, or edgy ones
- You’ve got a story, tutorial, or angle that feels fresh, relatable, and real
Don’t have credentials? No problem. If you live and breathe hair culture, we want to hear your take.
Topics We Love (But You Can Totally Pitch Your Own)
Here’s what gets us hyped:
- The real difference between a shag and a wolf cut
- How to style curly mullets (without losing volume)
- Haircare routines by texture: coily, fine, bleached, damaged, etc.
- Hair trends in 2025 – cuts, colors, accessories, salon techniques
- Salon stories, pro advice, or lessons from behind the chair
- Hair identity, confidence, and gender-fluid styles
- The cultural history behind popular cuts (hello, mullet evolution!)
- Reviews of hair tools, products, or viral styling techniques
- DIY hair experiments – the wins and the fails
Basically? If it’s thoughtful, bold, and hair-related — we’re into it.
What We’re Not Looking For
Let’s keep it real. We won’t publish content that feels like:
- It was written by AI or copy-pasted from another site
- A basic “Top 10 Hair Tips” list you could find anywhere
- Thinly-veiled ads or brand promotions
- Boring, vague, or way too formal writing
If your intro starts with, “Since ancient times, humans have cared about their hair…” — we’re probably not the right platform.
Submission Guidelines
Let’s make things smooth:
- Word Count: 900–1800 words
- Voice: Warm, casual-expert, slightly edgy
- Format: Google Doc or Word file
- Images: Include 2–3 (your own or royalty-free; credit if needed)
- Original Work Only: No plagiarism, spinning, or AI content
- Bio: Send a short author bio (50–80 words) with any social/portfolio links
- Editing: We’ll give your post a light polish if needed — but you’ll approve the final version
We also love contributors who pitch series ideas, not just one-offs. Got an idea for a monthly column or hair diary? Let’s talk.
